Karen Hawkins never lets me down! And the story between the pages of "Caught by the Scot" is definitely no exception to that rule. From the first sentence I was drawn into the story. I was engulfed in emotion and already invested in whatever would happen next.
Conner Douglas is my favourite type of hero. He's a sexy Scot who makes me laugh and has a heart bigger than even he knows.
Theodora Cumberbatch-Snowe is a heroine to aspire to be. She might have made a few impetuous decisions, but in general she is intelligent and caring. She is a woman who is truly worth of a happily ever after. Watching her deal with her feelings for Conner and for her fiancé were heart wrenching, but in such a fabulous way for me the reader. I wanted to hug her and tell her that everything would be just fine if she could just make it through these pages with me.
I just felt so connected to this couple as if their happiness would affect mine. I loved the adventure this story took me on and I still can't feel my face from all the smiling I did while reading, even while holding my breath sometimes. Karen Hawkins always delivers fabulous descriptions and details, as well as characters you cannot help but bond with. Her stories transport me to another time and I have to say that this one has been my absolute favourite of hers. I cannot wait to read what Conner's brothers get up to because they can't let their brother have all the fun can they?

New York Times bestselling author Karen Hawkins is back with a brand-new, sizzling series featuring three unforgettable, untamed brothers who must marry or risk losing their inheritance.
Dashing Scottish privateer Conner Douglas must marry a respectable, well-born woman—and soon, if he wants to secure his rightful inheritance. Determined to still explore the high seas as well as his mistresses’ beds, he aims to find a pliable wife who’ll turn a blind eye to his antics. And he knows just the woman—childhood friend and mousy spinster Miss Theodora Cumberbatch-Snowe.
Unbeknownst to Conner, meek and plain Theodora has been hopelessly in love with him for years. But unwilling to wait forever for what will never happen, Theodora plans to wed a kind—if unexciting—local landowner, leaving behind the wild Highlander of her dreams.
Yet Conner refuses to let his perfect wife get away. He chases her to Gretna Green and is shocked to discover the real Theodora is an ardent and wildly sensual woman. Soon he realizes his passion to win her has nothing to do with securing his inheritance and everything to do with earning the love of the unforgettable woman who has vowed to leave him in her past forever. But have his wandering ways chased the woman he loves away for good? Or can Conner convince Theodora to give him one last chance before she marries the wrong man?
