Barrel Proof

Agents Irish and Whiskey, #3

Layla Reyne finishes her trilogy with an absolute bang! As sorry as I am to say goodbye to this fabulous pair I couldn't have enjoyed their ending more. With this instalment the other ads even more layers to the terrorist mystery and everyone finally gets the surprising answers they have been waiting for.

Aidan Talley goes undercover again. This time reprising a role from his past and it was fascinating to see the stress and loneliness this put on not only him but on his partner Jameson Walker as well. We get to revisit with Aidan's family as well as having a new member join their team. All in all this story was as well written or perhaps even better done than the previous two stories. I am sad that I will no longer get to see these two in action, but what a fabulous ride it was. I was left with no burning questions and no feelings of a rushed or a forced ending. If you, like me enjoyed the first two stories in this trilogy you have to read this one. If you haven't read the first two adventures I can't urge you strongly enough to do so.

The Story: FBI Agent Aidan Talley has gone undercover to give himself time to cool off from the intense revelations he has discovered about the terrorist who has been hunting him. But more devastating to him is the fact his partner and lover Jamie Walker has been keeping secrets. When Talley finds himself at the center of the terrorist's plot can he stop the crime and calm his own heart?
